04 Nov 1979 – Iran/United States: Iranian students scaled the wall of the United States Embassy in Tehran, Iran and took staff and members hostage. Several were released but 52 people were held for 444 days. The remainder was released on the 20 Jan 1981.

09 Nov 2008 – Bali: The three Islamic militants who were accused of the Bali bombings on the 12 Oct 02 were executed by firing squad in the Indonesian prison of Nusakambangan. The three were Imam Samudra, brothers Amrozi Nurhasyim and Ali Ghufron.
09 Nov 2005 – Jordon: Three near-simultaneous bomb attacks against western hotels in Amman kill more than 50 and injure 110; al-Qaeda in Iraq claimed responsibility.
09 Nov 2003 – Saudi Arabia: Eighteen killed and 122 injured in a bomb attack on a residential compound in Riyadh.
10 Nov 2009 – India: Eight civilians killed in an attack in North Tripura; National Front of Tripura claimed responsibility.
11 Nov 2004 – Palestine: Death of Mohammed Yasser Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini popularly known as Yasser Arafat was Chairmen of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) and President of the Palestinian National Authority.
