01 Mar 2003 – Pakistan: Khalid Shaykh is arrested; planned the 9/11 attacks in the United States.
06 Mar 1988 – Gibraltar: Members of the British Special Air Service shot dead three members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army in Gibraltar, (Mairead Farrell, Danial McCann and Sean Savage).
10 Mar 1957 – Birth of Osama Bin Laden
11 Mar 2004 – Spain: Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigade claims responsibility for four bombs on Madrid trains, killing 198, injuring 600.
11 Mar 2012 – France: Mohammed Merah a lone wolf killed seven people in the Midi-Pyrenees region of France. In three gun incident’s he targeted French soldiers and Jewish civilians. The soldiers were attacked for their involvement in the war in Afghanistan and he also had anti-Semitic motivations.
14 Mar 2004 – Israel: Near-simultaneous attacks by two suicide bombers kill 10, injure 18 in Ashdod port, HAMAS and al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade claim responsibility.
