04 Jul 1976 – Uganda/Israel: On the 27 Jun 76 terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and German Revolutionary Cells hijacked an Air France passenger aircraft and flew it to Entebbe airport in Uganda. The Israelis mounted a counter-terrorist raid on Entebbe to free the hijacked victims.
